Pinnacle Search Partners announces Margaret Covell as the Leader of the Private Equity Practice

Atlanta, GA – Pinnacle Search Partners, LLC, a global executive search firm, is pleased to announce Margaret Covell will lead our Private Equity Practice. Margaret joined Pinnacle in January 2019, to focus on building relationships with new private equity clients and deepening engagement with existing clients. She brings extensive operational experience within a private equity setting and a broad network of potential candidates and clients. Since joining Pinnacle, Margaret has led successful searches across multiple industries, and most recently, placed a CEO for a founder-led, PE-backed, manufacturing company facing significant market challenges – and did so within 65 days!

Margaret has a deep understanding of the private equity space and a passion for finding leaders – at all levels – with the right experience and a proven track record for the job, but even more importantly, those who have the ability to succeed within a private equity context – whether that’s driving new growth strategies, or a lower or more resilient cost structure. Her passion developed over her career partnering with CEOs and leadership teams to drive sustainable profitability and equity value, where identifying, assessing and developing talent is central. Margaret was a Partner of the Monitor Group, a global strategy consulting firm, prior to the acquisition by Deloitte, where she served clients across industries, as well as led the business unit focused on translating strategy into execution. At PE firm Thomas H. Lee Partners, Margaret joined as a Managing Director to build the Strategic Resource Group, a team of operators who work with the portfolio companies to execute strategic initiatives. Margaret spent a decade at THL working with multiple portfolio companies.

Committed to promoting women leaders in private equity, Margaret is a Strategic Advisor to Hypatia Capital, an asset management firm focused on sponsoring female CEOs. Margaret is also active in the non-profit sector and serves as an Executive Fellow at the Center for Higher Ambition Leadership, focusing on the PE sector, and is Board President of Partners for Youth with Disabilities. Margaret graduated from Colgate University and earned an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
